I began this in the early Winter of 2025 and completed it Summer 2025. I spent roughly 6-7 months in total working on it. I had a clear, strong vision of how I wanted the body type and pose to look. As this was my second attempt, I wanted to improve upon the design that I had done in 2007. I was inspired by different kinds of armour, and wanted to go with the beaten-down leather armour look in the end. I wanted to look as if you can't place where this style is, but also wanted it to look familiar as well., I was inspired by medieval plate armour and how warriors all over for centuries used animal pelts to keep warm. I loved the aesthetic and used that in this sculpture. I also love the idea of giving characters accessories. I think these added details make it that much more realistic. I was going to make a sword as well, but I didn't in the end. I thought that what I've made already was enough. Who knows, though. Maybe one day I will! As for the Horse's body, I wanted it to be big and bulky with long hair. I went with the long-haired Shire Horse for it's huge stature and beautiful appearance, for my main influence. For the actual sculpture, I added more texture and exaggerated the hair to make it look more dynamic. I do hope I managed to achieve everything I wanted.
