Piscean
I began this in late Summer 2025 and finished it in early Spring 2026. I spent around five months working on it. The idea was very clear to me from the start. Although originally i had intended on having the woman reaching out, touching a mirror, with the sea creature doing the exact same thing on the oppossite side. But, the ieda didn't work for me, so I decided to have them back to back instead, which works for me. I didn't conceptualize the beautiful woman, I just went with it. But I wish I had designed it at first as I made some mistakes that I had to redo. I was happy with it in the end though. Well, kinda. I'm never truly satisfied. The Sea creature though, the 'Piscean' I had designed beforehand and was generally happy with the idea. It turned out to be faithful to my original idea I think. Instead of making it look part fish, I wanted it to look more reptilian. I love the idea that some creatures have natural armour protecting them. I find that amazing. Making the fins using Vellum and wire was fun. I love using mixed media. I don't think it matters what you use, as long as it achieves the results you want. Well, as long as it's not ready-made that is!
