Resources

This is a look inside my ‘home’ studio. From the 'Old Skool' books that taught me anatomy to the ergonomic tools that allow me to create despite chronic pain and fatigue, these are my trusted essentials. I believe that with the right foundations and a bit of patience, anyone can find their creative spark. Explore, learn, and take your time.

TOOLS & MATERIALS

basic essentials

Art supplies including colored pencils, watercolor palette, paintbrushes, and books on anatomy, sculpture, and figure drawing arranged on a cluttered desk.

Feeling overwhelmed? Don’t be. Looking at this image, you don’t need all of this, all at once. Equipment can take a while to build. So don’t you worry if you just can’t afford a kit right now.

A pencil and an eraser on a blank sheet of white paper placed on a wooden surface.

All you need is this. Simple. Please don’t shake your head in disappointment. It doesn’t matter what materials you use. you could have the most expensive materials in the world, but none of that matters. All you need is imagination, plenty of patience, perseverance and passion.

Two bars of soap, one pink and one dark gray, placed on a wooden surface with a wooden background.

Wanna sculpt? Don’t be put off by the amount of tools and materials I have. All you need is a block of clay and a tool. Out of all my tools, I probably use two or three the most. Remember, building your kit can take time. I’ve spent years collecting mine.
