This is the main villain of Gaia. I struggled immensely with trying to make him look scary. I wanted to stay away from having a gym bro type of villain. Instead of a huge muscular and super strong demon, I wanted something the opposite. Someone or something that looks sickly, emaciated and ugly to look at. A creature made up of different body parts with a kimono hanging from his frail looking corpse. A tall, creature that walks very slowly and has lidless eyes that stare right into your soul. In this episode, I’ll be discussing my initial ideas and the struggles I had with it. I’ll be showing you my early concepts in sculptural form, my final concepts and what really inspired and influenced me, and then you’ll see my sculpting process for Bábos.
